ROLE SUMMARY

A stokika Field Agent is a frontline representative responsible for acquiring, onboarding, and managing micro-vendors who require stock advances. The agent acts as the bridge between stokika and the informal sector by collecting accurate business data, verifying stock needs, educating vendors, and supporting both deliveries and repayments. They maintain strong field visibility and safeguard stokika from fraud by ensuring that all vendors, stock movements, and business activities are legitimate, active, and productive.

SCOPE OF WORK

stokika field agents will:

  • Recruit and onboard eligible vendors within assigned zones
  • Verify vendor identity and business legitimacy
  • Collect accurate business and personal data through the stokika platform
  • Support vendors during their first stock advance cycle
  • Ensure repayments are properly tracked and recorded
  • Maintain ongoing field presence for vendor support and follow-ups
  • Report field activity to the Operations Team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Vendor Acquisition

  • Identify potential vendors (kiosks, salons, mitumba sellers, mama mbogas, etc.)
  • Educate them on how the stokika Stock Advance works
  • Submit complete onboarding forms and supporting documents

B. Vendor Verification & Data Collection

  • Capture business details accurately (location, stock needs, sales capacity)
  • Assist vendors in uploading photos, IDs, and required documents
  • Confirm business legitimacy through physical visits

C. Operational Support

  • Guide vendors on repayment schedules
  • Follow up on repayments where necessary
  • Assist with order placement if the vendor needs help
  • Verifying vendor stock levels
  • Approving stock orders (within their assigned limits)
  • Reporting stale, expired, or slow-moving stock

D. Stock Verification & Approval

Agents are responsible for ground-level stock validation to reduce risk of fraud and misallocation.

They shall:

  • Conduct physical checks of current stock levels
  • Confirm whether the vendor truly needs the requested stock
  • Flag suspicious or unrealistic requests
  • Approve recommended stock quantities (within agent approval limits)
  • Report stale, expired, unsellable, or slow-moving items observed
  • Provide timely feedback on product performance to the Supplier & Ops Team

E. Reporting

  • Provide daily/weekly field reports
  • Highlight challenges, risks, and opportunities in the area
  • Maintain strict compliance with stokika policies
